ONWARD AND UPWARD

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

PITTSBURGH, PA – SNF President Dr. Daniel J. Pyevich has announced a new initiative for 2004. The executive committee has dubbed it the “Onward and Upward” Membership Drive.

As part of the incentive, both lodges and individuals will receive recognition and financial boosts from the drive. To level the playing field, the lodges will be divided into two groups based on current membership in each lodge. Pyevich calls them the Pupin and Tesla divisions.

For individual recruiters, awards will be based on points accumulated through the drive. Points will translate into money in addition to commissions paid on the sale of insurance during the four-month drive.

A grand prize will be awarded to two top producers. Each prize will include an all expenses paid trip to Pittsburgh for two next July during Three Pitt Serb Days. It will also earn each of them the title of SNF Co-Person of the Year.

“Over the years we have honored many great people as persons of the year. It has always been based on our history and their contribution to the SNF’s past. Now it’s time to look to the future,” said Pyevich.

“We need to look forward into this second century. And in that vein, we will honor the two people who help us ensure that the SNF has a bright future for at least another hundred years. Who better as Persons of the Year than the two top producers during our new Onward and Upward campaign?”

Details on the campaign, awards, and commission schedule will be published here and in future issues throughout the campaign. The American Srbobran will help members and contest participants monitor progress throughout the campaign and winners will be announced in the late Spring.

Be a part of this important membership drive. Join in the competition and vie for top honors as we kick off the Second Century and expand our membership making the Serb National Federation one of the largest fraternal organizations in this country.

SNF NATIONAL “Onward and Upward” MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

January 1, 2004 thru April 30-2004

Drive includes both lodges and individual recruiters

I. LODGE AWARDS:

The lodges will be divided into two groups. The Pupin Team will consist of lodges with less than 100 members.  The Tesla Team will consist of lodges with 100 members or greater.  Lodge membership will be based on the number of members, age 16 and over, as of January 1, 2004.  Using this number, a membership recruitment quota shall be determined for each lodge.  This membership recruitment quota will be equal to 5% of the lodge membership, rounded off to the nearest whole number. If the number of new members recruited by a lodge during the contest exceeds this quota, the lodge shall receive $5 for each new member enrolled (including those in the quota).  However, if a lodge does not exceed its quota, it shall not receive any money for new members enrolled.  As an example, if a lodge has 96 members, its quota is five (96 X .05 = 4.8).  So, if this lodge recruits 11 new members, it shall receive $55 (11 X $5) because it exceeded its quota.  If this lodge recruits only five new members, it shall receive no money because it did not exceed its quota.  Those members going into Lodge #200 will be assigned to the recruiter’s lodge.
